Oil stained pavers
Oil will penetrate readily into paving and can be stubborn if not impossible to remove.
Spills should immediately be treated with absorbent material such as sea sand, cloth or paper.
Don’t rub the oil stain, leave the absorbent material in place until it has absorbed as much oil as possible. Then, quickly clean the oil-stained area with a degreaser or strong detergent by scrubbing the cleaner into the affected area and allowing it to soak for the specified period of time. Wash off with hot water.
Unfortunately, not all stains can be removed but if you work quickly to clean the stain immediately after spillage you will be able to significantly reduce the damage.
In severe cases, the oil-stained pavers may have to be uplifted and replaced.
